Jim Needham : Property Inspections & Construction Project Management
With over 30 years in the property development and construction industry, Jim has honed his expertise across three continents. His journey began in the UK, where he renovated 16 properties, mostly houses, over a decade. He then moved to Australia, where his projects included a diverse portfolio of 14 properties, ranging from quintas and an apartment block to individual apartments. In Portugal, where he has been active for the last six years, Jim has transformed 18 properties, mostly historical houses in the councils of Óbidos, Peniche, and Lourinhã, from ruins to desirable homes.
Jim’s background as a trained carpenter and his early start in project management at the age of 20 have equipped him with a deep understanding of all facets of property development. This includes construction, planning, council negotiations, building regulations, and financial planning. Jim also ran a successful joinery business in Australia for six years, specializing in the manufacture and installation of high-end, custom-made doors, windows, and timber products.
His extensive experience is complemented by a vast network of professional contacts acquired through working with hundreds of different tradespeople across the globe.
Thai Nou : Interior Design & Virtual Staging
Thai’s passion for design was nurtured in Paris, where she studied fashion design and worked as a « petite main » for a well-known fashion designer before transitioning to quality control in the fashion industry. Her career in luxury retail management further refined her organizational and client service skills.
In Portugal, alongside Jim, Thai has fully immersed herself in the world of property renovation, leveraging her acute sense of aesthetics and functionality. She has self-trained in various aspects of interior design, including drawing, measurement, and 3D rendering, skills that have been instrumental in visualizing and executing the redesign of properties.
Thai’s ability to manage projects from the administrative level to hands-on implementation has been pivotal. Her role in selecting, purchasing, and managing renovation projects has brought a unique blend of creativity and practicality to each venture, enhancing the layouts and designs of buildings in ways that exceed the sum of their parts.
